Frequently asked questions

What is a tow truck release form?

It is the document signed when a vehicle changes hands — released to the owner, to a shop, or to a storage lot. It records who received the vehicle, its condition, and when the release happened.

How is it different from an authorization form?

The authorization is signed before the tow, when the owner consents to it. The release is signed at drop-off, when someone takes possession of the vehicle. EzTowForm covers both on the same record.

Can I add drop-off photos?

Yes. There is a dedicated drop-off photo type so you can document the condition of the vehicle at the moment you release it. The pictures print on the PDF.

Can the person receiving the vehicle keep a copy?

Yes. They sign on your phone or through a link, and they can download the PDF themselves.
